The Burlington Waterfront Festival runs all weekend at Spencer Smith Park and is worth the damp shoes. If you'd rather stay dry, the Art Gallery of Burlington has a free open studio Sunday afternoon and the Model Railway Club is indoors Saturday. Plan around the weather, not against it.
The Burlington Waterfront Festival takes over Spencer Smith Park on Saturday — free admission, live music, food vendors, and artisan stalls along the lake. Drizzle is forecast but the festival runs rain or shine. Go before noon if you want parking without a hike.

The Enchanted Garden at RBG Rock Garden runs Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is built for kids aged 4 to 8. Children follow a self-guided discovery trail through the garden — costumes encouraged, so dust off the fairy wings. Adults must accompany kids; check RBG's site for ticket details.

Burlington Model Railway Club opens its Hidden Valley Park layout Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — N-scale and HO-scale trains run indoors, G-scale garden railway runs outside if the drizzle cooperates. Free admission, donations welcome. Good rainy-day backup for train-obsessed kids.

The Art Gallery of Burlington runs a free Family Open Studio Sunday 1–4 p.m., inspired by artist Roda Medhat's sculptural installation. Artist-instructors are on hand but kids can also work independently. Fully indoors and free — solid Sunday option if the drizzle picks up.

Burlington Lions Club Farmers Market runs Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Burlington Centre. Local produce, baked goods, honey, and artisan goods. Get there before 10 a.m. for the best selection and before the drizzle settles in.
