Firefly Live Music and Campfire
Saturday is a scorcher with thunderstorms rolling through — 33°C and a real chance of afternoon lightning. Get outdoor plans done early or skip them entirely. Sunday cools to 27°C with partly cloudy skies, which makes the evening bandshell concert at Central Park a reasonable call. The indoor lineup is solid both days: free swims, art-making, and a bees-and-honey workshop in Hamilton cover most ages.
Blue Dot Acres runs a firefly evening Saturday from 7:30–10pm, with live music 8–9:30pm and a walk through the farm afterward to watch fireflies come out. Tickets are $15 and include the campfire and marshmallows, weather permitting. Given the Saturday storm forecast, check Blue Dot's social channels before you go — the farm is running this both Friday and Saturday, so conditions matter.

Tansley Woods Community Centre runs a free recreational swim Sunday 1:30–3:30pm, sponsored by Access Storage. The leisure pool has a water slide and diving board; the warming pool is open too. Walk-ins welcome on a first-come basis — arrive a few minutes early to beat the line.

Indigo's Summer Reading Launch Party runs Saturday at 11am and 1pm at select Chapters and Indigo locations. Kids pick up a free Summer Reading Passport and do storytime activities built around Dog Man, InvestiGators, and Wings of Fire. Concerts in the Park returns to the Central Park Bandshell Sunday 7–8:30pm with Paul Gordon performing All of Me. Bring a blanket and arrive by 6:45pm for a decent spot on the grass. Sunday's forecast is partly cloudy at 27°C — one of the better evenings of the weekend.
Hamilton Farmers Market kicks off its Market Kids Club summer series Saturday 10:30–11:30am with Humble Bee — a live-bee workshop covering native bees, pollination, and how honey is made.
